About The Position

The Pool Bartender will be responsible for providing efficient, fast, and reliable service to our guests while ensuring their satisfaction and enjoyment. The Pool Bartender will work independently and under the direction of the Bar Manager to mix, pour, and serve various alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to our guests throughout the pool area.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of bartending experience preferably in a high-volume pool bar environment.
  • A strong knowledge of mixology, wine, beer, and spirits.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Great customer service skills.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers.
  • The ability to stand for long periods of time and lift to 25 lbs.
  • Identification that establishes identity.
  • Identification that establishes the right to work in the United States.
  • Alcohol Awareness Card.
  • Southern Nevada Health Card
  • Nevada Non-Gaming/Gaming card

Nice To Haves

  • Certification from a bartending program is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for being knowledgeable of menu items, liquor brands, beers, and non-alcoholic beverages, as well as maintaining the appearance of the bar.
  • Set the stage for guest experience with a welcoming smile and service.
  • Create and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, incorporating ingredients according to standardized recipes and providing food service as needed.
  • Clean equipment, tools, and supplies and ensure equipment is in good working order, including, cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance of the bar.
  • Ring poured or served beverages, collect payment, and adhere to all cash handling and variance procedures, including preparing daily reports and submitting appropriate paperwork.
  • Provide Apprentice Bartender and Bar Porter with training and mentoring on the overall performance of the bar, guest service, and bartending.
  • Maintain bar inventory according to set parameters and internal controls, and request product to maintain stock in bar.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Maintains a high quality of guest service according to Silverton Be Amazing Service Standards.
  • Checks for proper identification of a person who is under the age of 35.
  • Knowledge of the applicable company and departmental policies and procedures, as well as the willingness to learn and follow any policy or procedure that may be introduced in the future.
  • Adheres to all appearance and uniform standards.
  • Maintains an open line of communication with Managers.
  • Maintains a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with guests, colleagues, and Vendors.
  • Ability to accept performance feedback in an efficient manner.
  • Regular attendance on all scheduled shifts is considered an essential component of the job.
  • Arriving on time for all scheduled shifts is considered an essential component of the job.
