Pool Bartender/Server - Seasonal
About The Position
This role will be located at one of Discovery Land Company’s locations: Summit Club, set outside of Las Vegas, NV. Summit Club is seeking a Bartender/Server to join the Food and Beverage Service Department. The Bartender/Server will be responsible for providing exceptional service to members lounging by the pool and those utilizing our cabanas. The Bartender/Server will assist in delivering food, beverages, and amenities while ensuring a pleasant and relaxing experience for our guests. The Bartender/Server will be responsible for maintaining a genuine, cheerful demeanor while representing the DLC brand positively at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role, preferably in a pool or beach setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Must be able to work outdoors and stand for extended periods.
- Requires 3 years of prior food server / bartender experience.
- Must possess a valid SNHD health card, Sherriff’s Card, & Alcohol Awareness card
- Work requires schedule flexibility which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and assist them with seating arrangements at the pool or in cabanas.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and promptly, utilizing knowledge of the menu and any specials.
- Deliver orders to members and their guests in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and presentation.
- Set up and maintain cabanas, including arranging furniture, providing clean towels, and ensuring cleanliness.
- Assist guests with any requests or inquiries they may have, providing information about amenities, activities, and services available.
- Monitor and replenish supplies in cabanas, such as towels, toiletries, and refreshments.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the pool area and cabanas, including clearing away used dishes and trash.
- Uphold company standards for hygiene, safety, and customer service at all times.
- Collaborate with other staff members, including kitchen and bar staff, to ensure efficient service and member satisfaction.
- Assist with poolside events and activities as needed.
