About The Position

The Pool Attendant is responsible for delivering prompt, friendly, and attentive food and beverage service to guests in the pool area, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. This role supports overall guest satisfaction by maintaining poolside service standards, assisting with food running, and embodying Hotel Drover’s commitment to warm, elevated hospitality.

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move continuously for extended periods.

  • Ability to navigate wet or slippery surfaces safely.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver food and beverage items from pool bar or kitchen to guests in a timely, accurate, and professional manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pool deck, service stations, and surrounding guest areas throughout the shift.
  • Assist with setup and breakdown of poolside service areas, including chairs, umbrellas, tables, and service supplies.
  • Communicate clearly with the Veranda Bar, Culinary team, and Manager on Duty to support smooth service flow and guest needs.
  • Monitor pool area for guest needs, proactively offering assistance, water service, and hospitality support.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards, including proper handling of food and beverages.
  • Support inventory awareness by restocking towels, menus, glassware, and service supplies as needed.
  • Provide attentive, proactive guest service by anticipating needs, offering menu assistance, and ensuring guest comfort throughout their pool experience.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, concerns, or feedback, escalating issues to leadership when necessary.
  • Adhere to all hotel policies, pool safety guidelines, and brand service standards.
  • All other duties as assigned.
