About The Position

Hampton Lake, located in Bluffton, South Carolina, is the Hilton Head area's premier private lake community. It features a 165-acre freshwater lake with 7 miles of navigable waterways and 15 miles of shoreline, complemented by approximately 340 surrounding acres of nature preserve, totaling over 500 acres of open space within the 900-acre community. Hampton Lake has received national recognition, including consecutive Best in American Living Awards (BALA) for "Best Community in America" and "Best Community Facility." The Amenity Village serves as the vibrant center of activity. The Pool Attendant's primary role is to monitor all pool activities, ensure cleanliness, and enforce the established Rules and Regulations of the pools.

Requirements

  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • High school graduate
  • Written and verbal fluency in English
  • Ability to perform basic skills on a tablet device

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in customer service is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Become familiar with the “Pool Rules & Regulations” (section 4.1.1 - 4.1.27) of the Hampton Lake Rules & Regulations.
  • Understand and appropriately enforce all Hampton Lake pool rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Report repeat offenders to management.
  • Greet everyone who enters the pool area.
  • Check all members in using the tablet.
  • Confirm member’s name and membership number.
  • Properly address any Member and Guest questions or requests.
  • Direct any concerns to the Tackle Box manager or ‘manager on duty’.
  • Ensure the pool furniture is organized and in good working order.
  • Monitor the pool area restrooms to make sure they are clean and fully stocked.
  • Clean all trash around chairs, tables and grounds.
  • Monitor the trash containers around the pool deck.
  • Empty the trash containers as necessary.
  • Assist with sales of limited merchandise inventory.
  • Monitor weather and inform Members and Guests of inclement or potentially dangerous conditions.
  • Ask everyone to leave the pool until it is safe to return, if required by weather conditions.
  • Perform end-of-day duties including P.O.S. functions, straightening the pool area and closing umbrellas.
  • On occasion, help in the Tackle Box, which may include duties such as: Dock work: cleaning kayaks, boats, etc., Inventory, coordinate boat rentals, retail, etc.
  • Other responsibilities as directed by your supervisor.
