About The Position

The Pool Attendant is a professional that embodies the essence of luxury poolside hospitality, seamlessly blending guest services and flawless food and beverage execution. This role will maintain our pristine pool environment while delivery exceptional dining experiences to the guests lounging in cabanas or at the water’s edge. By delivering impeccable service, the Pool Attendant will uphold La Bahia Hotel & Spa’s service standards (inspired by Forbes) while elevating our beachfront property.

Requirements

  • (2) years of experience in pool/beach attendant role, luxury hotel and/or resort preferred
  • Ability to be standing and walking for long periods of time
  • Multilingual abilities highly preferred
  • Social intuition to assess guest moods/preferences
  • Capable of maintaining composure during peak hours
  • Comfortable in varying outdoor weather conditions
  • Capability to carry trays (Up to 25lbs)
  • Current CPR/First Aid certified a plus
  • Flexible to work in different shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Responsibilities

  • Maintain an immaculate pool deck: adjust cabana setups to guest preferences (shade levels, seating arrangements), ensure chilled towels, premium sunscreen, and iced water stations are replenished, monitor pool safety with discreet vigilance.
  • Provide personalized guest orientation to pool facilities and services.
  • Anticipate needs before guests ask. Adjust umbrellas/shades proactively.
  • Execute polished food running: ensure perfect presentation of poolside cuisine (no wilted garnishes), maintain proper temperatures (chilled seafood), coordinate timing for multi-course cabana dining.
  • Demonstrate proper glassware handling (champagne flutes to tiki mugs).
  • Master menu knowledge including dietary modifications (keto/vegan/GF options), cocktail recommendations, and daily chef's specials and premium upgrades.
  • Process orders via handheld POS with 100% accuracy
  • Maintain show-quality service stations (polished ice bins, crisp linens).
  • Maintain impeccable grooming standards, wearing the assigned uniform exactly as specified (proper fit, cleanliness, and presentation at all times Wear the official hotel lapel pin prominently as part of the uniform requirement, unless embroidered onto uniform
