About The Position

The Post Oak Hotel is seeking a Pool Attendant to join the only Forbes Five-Star Hotel in Texas. We hire passionate and professional colleagues who genuinely delight our guests through curated and authentic experiences. The Pool Attendant will be responsible for the setup of the pool, assisting guests, folding and setting towels, and keeping the pool area clean.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field
  • 1-3 years of customer service experience
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays is required.
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance
  • Assist with moving, lifting, carrying, and placing of objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds
  • Stand or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift
  • Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions

Nice To Haves

  • Previous hotel experience, luxury or Forbes experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests and welcome them in a friendly manner
  • Be familiar with all standards of performance excellence and adhere to these standards throughout our guests experience
  • Escort guests' to chairs, provide set up assistance/towels and serve water
  • Maintain lounge chairs and service stations with towels, infused water and amenities
  • Ensure pool deck is clean at all times
  • Move towel bins to and from laundry for lounge chair and service station replacement
  • Answer any guests questions and/or concerns
  • Monitor pool deck for seat availability, service and well-being of guests
  • Check side duty list for opening and closing procedures
  • Be knowledgeable about The Post Oak and its services
  • Collaborate with fellow servers, bartenders, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service
  • Responsibilities include complying with all federal and state laws, including the FLSA tip regulations regarding tip reporting, sharing, and minimum wage requirements
