About The Position
Pool and beach maintenance engineer maintains the safety and cleanliness of all recreational areas and equipment. In charge of the daily presentation, cleanliness, repairs and conditions of all water cabanas, following the checklist and creating daily reports to ensure perfect operation. Help our guests with special requests and inform leaders of changes in weather. Maintain the bottoms and pressures of water cabanas to optimal operation. Check and clean beach area to have a perfect presentation for the guest. Maintain docks and buoys for optimal operations. Prepare the entire area for bad weather to secure water cabanas and complete the hurricane check list. Complete the safety check list every morning to ensure guest satisfaction. This job requires entering ocean water, work with chemicals and being outside on a daily, lift up to 50 pounds walk on the sand.
Requirements
- Minimum of two years of experience preferably in a hotel; franchised hotel experience a plus.
- Knowledge of all mechanical equipment critical to the operation of the building; proper chemical handling and disposal.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and comply with deadlines for work assignments.
- Ability to interact positively with hotel personnel and provide prompt solutions to problems.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
- This job requires entering ocean water, work with chemicals and being outside on a daily, lift up to 50 pounds walk on the sand.
Responsibilities
- Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
- Handle guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Maintains standards of quality and cleanliness throughout daily assignments.
- Observes all house and safety rules, departmental procedures, and security procedures.
- Assist with inventories as scheduled.
- Follow maintenance program and cleaning schedule.
- Other duties as assigned.
