About The Position

Performs high quality polysomnography studies as prescribed by physicians according to established policy and procedures as well as evidence based medicine or board recommended best practice.

Requirements

High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent Knowledge
Successful completion of a sleep technology program associated with a state licensed and/or a nationally accredited educational facility or equivalent experience and documented proficiency for all competencies required of a RPSGT/RST.
Certification within one year of hire by a nationally recognized certification board and holds either the Registered Sleep Technologist (RST), Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT), or Sleep Disorders Specialist (SDS) credential.
RPSGT by the BRPT (Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists) and/or RST by the ABSM (American Board of Sleep Medicine)
BCLS
Population Specific Competency: Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.
Walk, sit, and stand for extended periods of time. Lift up to 10-20lbs.

Nice To Haves

Scoring experience preferred (day shift)
ACLS preferred
Respiratory/Neurology background credentials preferred.
