Responsibilities include preparation and testing of patients, data tabulation, test scoring, and report preparation. The role requires selecting and applying monitoring electrodes, preparing PAP mask fittings, scheduling tests, educating patients and physicians, and following sleep procedures to document baseline values. The technician will score sleep/wake stages, implement interventions for patient safety, perform therapeutic interventions, and maintain equipment. The position also involves serving as a technical resource and preceptor for students and staff, demonstrating knowledge of patient care across different age groups.
