About The Position

Performs comprehensive polysomnographic testing and analysis, and associated interventions under the general oversight of a Lead Polysomnographic Technologist and the clinical director or designee. A Registered Polysomnographic Technologist, RPSGT can provide supervision of a Certified Polysomnographic Technologist, CPSGT. Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures. The specific statements in this profile are not intended to be all-inclusive. Position Details: Hours: Nights: 3/12 hour shifts. / 6:45p.m -7:15 a.m. Travel: None No Major Holidays Opportunities - Will Consider Polysomnographic Technologist I - OR Polysomnographic Technologist II- Pay will be commensurate on experience and certification. Polysomnographic Technologist I - Requirements: Registered Polysomnographic Technologist within 18 months - Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) One Year minimum Clinical experience required. Polysomnographic Technologist II - Requirements: Registered Polysomnographic Technologist - Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT). 2 years of experience. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
  • Minimum of 2 years-Clinical
  • Registered Polysomnographic Technologist within 18 months - Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT)

Responsibilities

  • Gathers and Analyzes Patient Information
  • Testing Preparation Procedures: Prepares and calibrates equipment required for testing to determine proper functioning and make adjustments, if necessary.
  • Polysomnographic Procedures: Follows procedural protocols to ensure collection of appropriate data.
  • Polysomnographic Record Scoring: Scores sleep and wake stages by applying professionally accepted guidelines.
  • Complies with applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and standards regarding safety and infection control issues.
  • Performs routine equipment care and maintenance and inventory evaluation.
  • Participates in all Joint Commission mandated educational programs including, but not limited to, Infection control, Fire, Electrical and Hazard Safety programs annually.
  • Maintains confidentiality of patient and program information.
  • Responds to study participant's procedural-related inquiries by providing appropriate information.
  • Work is typically performed in a clinical environment.
