Requirements

• High School Graduate. Graduate of an accredited school of polysomnography preferred. Associate/Bachelor degree preferred.
• Registered by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) or a current Indiana state license in respiratory therapy (RT).
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• Successful completion of a polysomnography program of no less than one (1) year duration associated with a state licensed and/or a nationally accredited educational facility OR equivalent experience and documented proficiency at all competencies required of a Polysomnographic Technician.
• Confidently performed polysomnography on pediatrics (ages 4 years and up), adolescents, adults and geriatrics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides comprehensive evaluations and treatment of sleep disorders under the general supervision of the Clinical Director (MD) or other designee.
• Performs polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services or patient care and education.
• Can perform all duties defined for a Polysomnographic Technician along with scoring of sleep studies.
• Assists with supervision of other staff.
