About The Position

The Polysomnograph Technologist Lead has overall responsibility for the activities of the diagnostic sleep center during worked shift including clinical coordination of patient care. Provides guidance to all polysomnograph techs working in their market during the shift. Novant Health be the destination for your professional growth. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED, required.
  • Two year college preferred or related health field experience, required.
  • Three years of experience, required.
  • Registered Polysomnographic Technologist.
  • Registered with NC Medical Board, required.
  • Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.
  • Good communication skills, medical terminology, previous experience with computers, manual dexterity and capacity to deal with visual concepts.
  • Initiative and judgement to proceed with work without constant supervision.
  • High degree of patience and understanding in dealing with unusual situations.
  • Ability to work flexible nighttime schedule.
  • Basic ECG recognition.
  • Advanced understanding of the concepts of polysomnography.

  • Obtain additional training regarding pediatric polysomnography as well as advanced titration modalities.
