We are looking to hire a Polysomnographic Technician As a Polysomnographic Technician at MercyOne, Under general direction of a registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT), as directed by the leader, in accordance with the policies and procedures of Genesis Medical Center and the department, the Polysomnograhpic Technician prepares patients for and performs routine polysomnographic procedures and collects data pertinent to the interpretation of test results. The technician will perform only those procedures for which proficiency has been demonstrated and registration is not required, but will assist registered technologists with more complex recordings.

Requirements

Enrollment and attendance in END technology training program
Basic Life Support
Must obtain RPSGT within two years
No experience required
High school graduation

Responsibilities

Prepares patients for polysomnographic procedures
Performs routine polysomnographic procedures
Collects data pertinent to the interpretation of test results
Assists registered technologists with more complex recordings
