About The Position

Position Summary: This position is for the RPSGT in training. The successful candidate will attend Cleveland Clinic or similar PSG training program, complete the AASM ASTEP program, complete in lab training of all listed elements in this job description and successfully sit for the RTSGT exam within a period of 12 months. Requirements

Required High School Diploma or Equivalent
American Heart Association BLS
Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) required within 12 months
Demonstrates sound judgement, patience, and maintains a professional demeanor at all times
Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Creativity, problem analysis and decision making
Ability to work varied shifts
Exercises tact, discretion, sensitivity and maintains confidentiality
Computer applications, MS Office, EMR, internet applications and standard office equipment
Self-directed, completes assignments accurately, thoroughly and with minimal oversight
Detail oriented, organizational skills and the ability to prioritize
Strong emotional intelligence, interpersonal and teamwork skills
This role requires regular and sustained attendance.
The position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts.
On-call work may be required to respond promptly to organizational, patient, or employee needs.

Responsibilities

Sets up and monitors sleep disorders test.
Assists and educates patients in Sleep disorders diagnosis, equipment, and treatment.
Develops skill set in scoring and evaluating polysomnograms.
