About The Position

This position is available for both Polysomnographic Technicians or Assistants. Please see qualifications for both position below: The Polysomnographic Tech interacts with patients, families, physicians, staff and equipment to document and treat suspected sleep disorders in a safe and caring environment. Responsible for patient set up, acquisition and starting the polysomnographic acquisition in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with physician orders. Executes scoring of testing parameters according to Department Standards and correctly implements treatment options for sleep apnea. This position demonstrates competency in all sleep test to include: Polysomnography, PAP titrations, Oxygen titrations, MSLT, MWT and HST.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year experience in a healthcare setting
• Strong clinical decision making
• Basic computer skills
• Strong communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Associates Degree in an allied health related field
• Minimum one year experienced as an RPSGT or RRT
• REEGT or RRT
