About The Position

The Polysomnographic (Sleep) Analyst at Mercy Wellness Center is responsible for analyzing and scoring sleep studies, ensuring high-quality polysomnographic data, and presenting processed data to interpreting physicians. This role also involves performing CPAP mask fittings, conducting educational in-services for patients, and collaborating with various stakeholders in the Sleep Center.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college-level biological science coursework preferred.
• American Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists Registry licensure required.
• Minimum of 2 years full-time experience as a Registered PSG Technologist in an accredited Sleep Disorders Center.
• Significant experience in scoring/analyzing Sleep Studies per AASM standards required.
• Experience in quality management and accreditation projects for at least 1 year.
• Current RPSGT and CPR certification required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with quality assurance measures in a clinical setting.
• Advanced technical skills in polysomnography.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and score multiple night shift sleep studies daily.
• Present processed PSG data to interpreting physicians.
• Ensure high-quality polysomnographic data processing.
• Communicate effectively with technicians and medical staff.
• Perform educational in-services for Sleep Clinic patients.
• Prepare patient charts and perform CPAP mask fittings.
• Conduct day shift Sleep Studies and MSLTs (multiple sleep latency tests).
• Participate in quality management and improvement projects.
