The Polysomnographic Technologist conducts comprehensive sleep studies to assist in the diagnosis and treatment for sleep disorders. This position assesses the clinical history of the patient, reviews the medical orders, and develops a plan for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, according to policy and procedure. The Technologist educates patients about procedures and possible testing interventions. This position also analyzes extensive data and reports information to the interpreting physician for diagnosis and/or treatment recommendations.
