About The Position

The Politics Reporter will cover the impact of decision-making and culture in Trump's Washington on the residents of Florida. This role involves systematically examining the federal government's influence on state residents during a time of significant policy change. The reporter will explore various issues, including immigration, health care, and education, and how these changes will affect the lives of readers. The position also includes accountability reporting on high-ranking officials from Florida in the new administration.

Requirements

• Strong news judgment, well-versed in journalism ethics.
• A deep curiosity and high energy.
• Experience at a college publication is a plus. Ideally, applicants have completed at least one professional internship or job.
• Eagerness to collaborate across the newsroom and ask questions.
• Open to early morning and late evening work and an occasional weekend shift.
• Must have reliable transportation.
