About The Position

The American Hospital Association (AHA) is a national organization that represents and serves all types of hospitals, health care networks, and their patients and communities. The AHA has two main offices, located in Washington, D.C., and Chicago. The AHA offers a flexible hybrid work schedule of three days in the office and two days working remotely. This role is located in our Washington DC office. Responsible for providing timely support for projects and operations specific to the American Hospital Association Political Action Committee (AHAPAC). Assist with administration of the extensive AHAPAC donor database, including both data collection, report development and production. Collaborate regularly with state association staff responsible for PAC fundraising to maintain ongoing relationships with the important stakeholders for AHAPAC.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Political science, business, communications or related field
  • 3+ years Experience in a trade association or associated field
  • Solid working knowledge of computer systems and understanding their applications
  • Advanced PC, database and software usage skills
  • Highly organized, detail oriented, with strong follow-through skills and ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with ability to adhere to stringent timeframes and deadlines required for FEC compliance

  • Familiarity with Quorum PAC management software

Responsibilities

  • Collect, code and input data into fundraising database according to AHAPAC standards, providing the foundation for information included in AHAPAC’s monthly Federal Election Commission (FEC) compliance report.
  • Collect, code and input membership and other PAC data into database.
  • Develop and produce various PAC receipt, membership and status reports to assist with fundraising efforts and identify major issues.
  • Research, respond to and process requests from state and other affiliated associations for PAC information and materials.
  • Prepare reports and documents for AHA Annual Meeting.
  • Serve as on-site contact for AHAPAC events during AHA Annual Meeting.
  • Collaborate with team to prepare and distribute AHAPAC donor recognition letters, emails and gifts.
  • Collaborate with state association PAC staff to prepare materials for annual AHAPAC meeting.
  • Serve as on-site contact for AHAPAC state association meeting.
  • Provide support to the Vice President, Political Affairs and AHAPAC staff as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
