About The Position

STS Aerospace in Laconia, NH is searching for Fabrication Mechanic - Polisher to join the team. This position is responsible for cleaning, deburring, polishing, grit blasting, and/or grinding manufactured parts. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• One to three months related experience and/or training
• Equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

• Inspects parts for defects and material handling damage
• Scrapes or rubs parts with file, wire brush, or buffing cloth
• Mounts tools on revolving spindle for abrasive finishing and deburring
• Able to change out tooling such as rubberized abrasives and bench grinder abrasive wheels as needed
• Holds part against deburring / grinding wheel to deburr tube surfaces or grind weld beads
• Deburrs or polishes parts
• Operates Dremel with Scotchbrite or abrasive wheel to polish parts
• Uses Flex-hone (Wire-brush) when indicated on operational instructions
• Operates hand held Die-Grinder
• Uses Compressed Air to ensure interior and exterior of parts are blown off after polishing
• Operate Grit Blast Cabinet
