About The Position

Providing support to service team with courtesy and ensuring excellent customer service while also maintaining a positive dining experience by assisting in various tasks within the restaurant setting. Ensure that all glassware, silverware, and table settings meet high standards of cleanliness and presentation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to communicate, verbally, effectively with guests and co-workers; respond to guest requests.
  • Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
  • Knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service-ware.
  • Ability to comprehend and apply written product labeling instructions to enable the safe application of products and processes within the hotel.
  • Ability to transport up to 30 lbs. through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout the shift.
  • Maintains professionalism at all times, demonstrating courtesy and respect to guests and co-workers.
  • Must be able to walk, climb stairs.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, crouch.
  • Must use hands to reach, grasp, handle, pull and push.
  • Must have good near and far vision.
  • Must be able to hear, talk, smell.
  • Must be able to lift & carry trays, bus pans, etc. up to 30 pounds.
  • Majority of duties are performed standing.
  • Duties may be performed indoors or outdoors.
  • Noise level moderate.

Responsibilities

  • Polish and shine all glassware, silverware, and tableware to a high standard.
  • Inspect all items for spots, smudges, or imperfections before they reach the dining area.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and wait staff to ensure timely availability of polished items.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the polishing station.
  • Assist with setting tables and arranging place settings as needed.
  • Follow all health and safety regulations.
  • Clear tables following specified restaurant procedures and remove soiled wares to the appropriate dishwashing area.
  • Effectively clean and reset tables according to Trattoria Il Mulino service standards.
  • Greet guests warmly, creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere in the dining area.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
  • The employee may be expected to work in other areas of the hotel when needed to assist operations to perform job duties not necessarily contained in this job description.
  • Maintain a safe work environment for co-workers and a safe hotel for guests; please refer to Section 2.4 in the Team Member Handbook for specific examples.
  • Must complete Hilton brand required trainings.
