About the position
The Line Lead at SURESTAFF is responsible for supervising daily operations within a large distribution center in Allen, TX. This role involves overseeing the manufacturing process of fiber optic products, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and managing a team of warehouse associates. The Line Lead will work closely with other departments to maximize productivity and ensure that the team is properly trained and staffed.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the manufacturing process of fiber optic products, ensuring adherence to quality standards, production schedules, and safety protocols.
- Coordinate production activities, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow optimization, to meet production targets and customer requirements.
- Train and mentor production team members, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality assurance, and logistics, to resolve production issues and improve processes.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and drive cost savings in the manufacturing process.
- Monitor production metrics and performance indicators, analyzing data to identify areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Perform hands-on assembly and installation of fiber optic cables according to industry standards and specifications.
- Ensure proper termination, splicing, and testing of fiber optic cables to maintain optimal performance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in fiber optic cable assembly and installation, with at least [X years] in a leadership role.
