Where You Will Work Consolidated Aerospace Manufacturing (CAM)/EA Patten is the primary division of Stanley Black & Decker Aerospace, with locations in Manchester and Columbia, CT. We are a leading innovator and strategic partner in the manufacturing of fasteners, fittings, tubing assemblies and engineered products for the aerospace, defense, and industrial markets. CAM is currently comprised of nine subsidiaries across the United States split among three segments. Who You Are As a polisher/deburr you will be responsible for removing imperfections, sharp edges and burrs from manufactured parts to achieve a smooth, precise finish using various tools and equipment.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Attention to detail
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Basic math and measurement skills
  • Safety awareness

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or machining environment is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Use hand tools and power tools including Dremel tools, polishing wheels, buffing wheels, Cratex polishing and Dotco guns to remove burrs, nicks, scratches, and rough edges from manufactured parts.
  • Polish parts to correct defects, prepare surfaces for further finishing, and achieve a specified finish level.
  • Refer any issues regarding Deburr and Manual Operations areas to senior leads or supervisors
