Seeking Policy Modeling Advisor candidates with relevant Energy, Science, and Technology Research Sector Experience (functional and technical area expertise also ideal) to support professional services engagement for Energy, Science, and Technology Research Sector Clients such as DOEOP. This as a Contract Contingent or Contract W-2 (IRS-1099) Modeling Support Functional Area - Energy Technical Consulting Position; however, ProSidian reserves the right to convert to a Full-Time ProSidian employed W-2 Position. JOB OVERVIEW Provide services and support as a Energy Technical Consulting (Policy Modeling Advisor) in the Energy, Science, and Technology Research Industry Sector focussing on Business Process Solutions for clients such as Department of Energy (DOE | OP) | DOE Office of Policy (OP) Generally Located In CONUS - Washington DC and across the Mid Atlantic Region (Of Country/World).

Requirements

  • Qualified candidates for Policy Modeling Advisor must possess expertise in their respective field, with experience in energy, policy, and technical consulting.
  • Candidates for Building Energy Demand Modeler typically require a Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., energy, environmental science, policy, or engineering) and a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Key skills for Building Energy Demand Modeler include analytical thinking, proficiency in data analysis tools, strong communication abilities, and subject matter expertise in energy and policy domains.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills for effective team management.
  • Outstanding time management and prioritization abilities to meet project milestones.
  • Adaptability to changing project requirements and priorities

Responsibilities

  • Advises on model design and use for evaluating energy policy impacts and implementation strategies.
  • Align with Modeling Support Functional Area initiatives as a Policy Modeling Advisor that Provides guidance on using modeling outputs for policy design, development, and implementation.
  • Provide Public Comment Review, Data Analysis, Modeling, Evaluation, Mapping, Forecasting And Report Development, Data Tracking Tools, Workforce Policy Analysis And Convening, as well as Energy Market Economic And Regulatory Analysis Technical Consulting Services and support for The Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Policy (OP).
  • These services enable mission objectives involved with renewable energy, fossil fuels, nuclear energy, hydrogen, biofuels, carbon capture, energy storage, grid modernization, energy efficiency, and sustainable infrastructure technologies.
  • Design and execute models for energy systems, technologies, and policies to provide actionable insights.
  • Policy Modeling Advisor is responsible for key functions such as developing analyses, supporting initiatives, and ensuring alignment with project objectives.
