The Florida Center for Behavioral Health Workforce (FCBHW) was commissioned by the Florida Legislature through Senate Bill 330 (2024) "to support an adequate, highly skilled, resilient, and innovative workforce that meets the current and future human resources needs of the state’s behavioral health system in order to provide high-quality care, services, and supports to Floridians with, or at risk of developing, behavioral health conditions through original research, policy analysis, evaluation, and development and dissemination of best practices." The FCBHW is proudly housed at University of South Florida in the College of Behavioral and Community Sciences. The Policy Analyst reports to and works alongside the Executive Director to actualize FCBHW’s mission and legislative charge. This role supports the development of policy recommendations, the evaluation of enacted policies, and the monitoring of policies and legislative initiatives. As part of our mission to translate data and stakeholder insight, the Policy Analyst will conduct research, analyze policy issues, and collaborate with FCBHW colleagues to advance the center’s objective of growing, retaining, and innovating Florida’s behavioral health workforce.
