About The Position
This position covers the Northern or Southern front desk handling walk-up customers, answering telephones, and monitoring cameras in the facility and outside the building. The role involves performing technical level police operations work under regular supervision from a technical superior. Responsibilities include enforcing relevant Howard County Code, providing civilian support to police work, assisting with criminal and non-criminal complaints, and performing support work for various bureaus within the Police Department. Additional duties may include custody of property, collecting and preserving physical evidence, identifying criminals by prints, and maintaining related records and files.
