We’re currently recruiting for a Police Service Technician. The primary responsibilities for the job are to assist officers and detectives in the Patrol Division or the Investigations Division, on various shifts, including daytime and evenings depending on assignment. Respond to citizen calls for service, questions, and concerns; provide information and assistance regarding various criminal or civil processes; assist citizens with filing police reports; respond to non-emergency calls for service; collect and submit evidence and found property, and provide crime prevention information. This position involves working during day and evening hours depending upon the assigned work schedule and the needs of the Department. This is a full-time, regular, non-exempt position covered by the provisions of an agreement between the City and the OPEIU union. The schedule for this position varies. The typical schedule is 10:30am –9:00pm on a 4/10 schedule. This position is governed under the Civil Service Rules.
