About The Position

The ideal candidate will have a passion for law enforcement and making a positive impact on the community, as well as committed to teamwork and delivering excellent customer service. The Police Recruit position within the Police Department performs the following tasks: Learn operations of the Police Department first-hand through observation and participation in a wide variety of police activities. Serve in a training capacity while attending the Police Academy.

Requirements

• At least 21 years old by time of academy graduation
• Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent
• Be able to pass a police background check
• Be able to pass a polygraph test
• Be able to obtain an AZPOST certification
• Possess or able to obtain a valid AZ Driver's License

Responsibilities

• Learn operations of the Police Department first-hand through observation and participation in a wide variety of police activities.
• Serve in a training capacity while attending the Police Academy.
