About The Position

The Police Processing Technician position at the City of Winston-Salem involves performing intermediate administrative and technical work related to the identification of individuals arrested for criminal offenses. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimal experience in an office setting, preferably in a law enforcement setting
• General knowledge of methods and standards employed in obtaining known impressions
• Ability to communicate by radio
• General knowledge of rules of evidence
• Ability to maintain complex and accurate records
• Ability to follow complex oral and written directions
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and position-specific software
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing
• Ability to present clear and concise testimony in court
• Adequate physical agility and endurance to carry out duties

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a law enforcement setting
• Certification in Intoximeter EC/IR II
• Permit issued by Department of Health and Human Services to administer chemical analysis

Responsibilities
