About The Position
The position involves performing routine patrol duties, responding to calls, enforcing traffic laws, communicating with citizens, arresting suspects, and preparing reports. The officer will patrol the city, respond to service calls, enforce state mandated laws and city ordinances, and issue citations. They will also perform traffic duties, investigate accidents, and direct traffic. Communication with the public regarding service calls, complaints, and requests for information is essential. The officer will make arrests, prepare activity and arrest reports, testify in court as needed, secure crime scenes, conduct crime scene investigations, and participate in job-related training.
