About The Position
Butler University Police Department is looking for experienced, ILEA certified police officers for our late shift. Officers answer calls for service, patrol the campus and surrounding area, enforce laws and provide service to the campus and surrounding community. The Police Officer is responsible for making arrests, conducting search and seizure, traffic enforcement, crash investigation, public safety and service, investigation of criminal incidents, and maintaining public order on the University campus and surrounding area. Work involves patrolling all campus areas, buildings and parking lots day and night. Police Officers must exercise good judgment and discretion in dealing with violators of laws and University regulations. Police Officers may be required to work special assignments, special events or be on call.
