About The Position

The Town of Franklin is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Police Officer within the Franklin Police Department. This role involves a variety of law enforcement duties aimed at maintaining public safety and order in the community. Officers will patrol assigned areas, respond to incidents, and enforce laws and ordinances, contributing to the overall peace and security of the town.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; a 2- or 4-year degree is preferred.
• Successfully completed North Carolina's Basic Law Enforcement Training.
• Completion of requirements established by the NC Criminal Justice Training and Standards Commission for lateral transfers.
• Possession of a BLET certificate.
• Possession of a valid NC driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Patrol the Town during assigned shifts in a police car or on foot.
