About The Position

As a new Police Officer at Ferguson Township Police Department, you can expect a dynamic role involving daily patrols, responding to emergencies, conducting investigations, and engaging with the community. On a set 10-hours-per-day, forty-hour work week schedule, you will work closely with experienced officers to gain hands-on training in forensics, law enforcement techniques, and crisis intervention. Expect to participate in ongoing training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge in various areas of policing. Your dedication to upholding the values of integrity and safety will be essential in ensuring the well-being of Ferguson Township residents and maintaining law and order.
Requirements
- At least 21 years old
- High School Diploma or GED
- US Citizen
- NO disqualifying criminal convictions (Misdemeanor 2 or higher)
- Take and pass the Standard & Associates, Inc. National Post Officer Selection Test (POST)
- Minimum 9th grade reading level
- In-person interview
- Physical examination
- Drug test
- Pass a vision test and hearing exam (MPOETC standards)
- Physical fitness test and psychological examination (MPOETC standards)
