About The Position
Moorhead PD has an excellent reputation of providing community policing, operational excellence and high-quality professional police services. This position offers a recruitment incentive pay of $3,500 for new hires with less than one year of experience. Additionally, there is an accelerated incentive pay every six months, reaching a maximum of $91,852 (Step 5), which represents an increase of approximately $24,000. The department emphasizes modern training designed for success and rewarding specialized law enforcement initiatives, supported by strong community, leadership, and Council backing. Officers will work in a state-of-the-art law enforcement center and benefit from an excellent wellness program designed to support their well-being.
