Police Officer Trainees will be registered to attend a Basic Police Academy course to meet the minimum required training mandates governed by the Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) for entry level Law Enforcement. Upon successful completion of the Basic Police Academy, Police Officer Trainees are transitioned to a Police Officer safety position, and enter the Field Training Program for Police Officers.
