About The Position
The Greenville Police Department is currently seeking qualified sworn law enforcement personnel to serve as a School Resource Officer. The School Resource Officer unit and Special Operations Bureau "Youth Community Outreach" of the Greenville Police Department emphasize education and rehabilitation over punishment when dealing with juvenile and young offender complaints. As a School Resource Officer, your law enforcement duties are to enhance the safety and security of the school by providing a safe learning environment for all including students, staff, parents, and the community. FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Starting annual salary: $52,436.80- $57,678.40, depending on experience. Salary after successful completion of a 6-month probationary period: $55,057.60 - $60,569.60, depending on starting salary. This is a continuous recruitment and may close without notice.
