About The Position

The Police Officer Recruit position with the City of Surprise, AZ, is designed for individuals seeking to begin a career in law enforcement. Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Arizona Driver License at the time of hire.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must complete 18 to 24 weeks of basic training at the Arizona Law Enforcement Academy.
• Must be 21 years of age prior to graduation from the basic training academy.

Responsibilities

• Assist in law enforcement and crime prevention work in a training capacity.
• Patrol designated areas with an assigned Police Officer to prevent crime and maintain law and order.
• Assist in investigative work and other assignments in a training capacity.
