About The Position
The Newport Beach Police Department is seeking candidates for the position of Police Officer Recruit. This recruitment may close at any time without advance notice, so applicants are encouraged to apply immediately. Applications will be reviewed on a continuous basis. The position offers a recruit salary of $5,918 monthly, with salaries for Academy Graduates or those enrolled in the Academy ranging from $6,535 to $11,711 monthly. The City provides an excellent benefits package and membership in the California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS). Candidates will undergo a selection process that includes a multiple-choice online exam, an interview, and a physical agility test. Successful candidates will be placed on an eligibility list and may be invited to begin the background process after the list is approved.
