About The Position

The Westwood Police Department is seeking qualified candidates for the full-time position of Police Officer. This role involves law enforcement duties in a progressive, non-civil service agency that emphasizes community engagement and public safety. Officers will work in a supportive environment with opportunities for promotion, specialized assignments, and training.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Associate's degree with at least 2 years of active duty military service preferred.
• Ability to obtain a valid Massachusetts driver's license and Class A License to Carry Firearms.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and at least 21 years old at the time of appointment.
• Proportionate fitness standards and job-related medical screenings must be passed.

Responsibilities
