About The Position

The Lehi City Police Department is accepting applications for the position of Police Officer, serving the city of Lehi, a dynamic and progressive community of nearly 70,000 residents. Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of employment.
  • Preferred to possess Utah P.O.S.T Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) certification in good standing or be certifiable prior to date of employment.
  • Must possess a valid Utah driver's license or have the ability to obtain one prior to employment.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of community-oriented policing, patrol operations, criminal investigations, report writing, and safety standards.

  • Current serving Police Officers may be given preference in the testing process.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate knowledge of community-oriented policing.
  • Conduct patrol operations.
  • Perform criminal investigations.
  • Write reports related to incidents and investigations.
  • Ensure safety standards related to the use of vehicles, firearms, and other police equipment.

Benefits

  • Starting wage for full-time officers with experience is $27.13/hour.
  • Years of full-time law enforcement experience may be matched, up to 8 years, depending upon qualifications and certifications.
