The Police Officer I conducts rounding and foot and vehicle patrols in and around properties owned, leased, or occupied by IU Health. This role involves responding to calls for service, enforcing IU Health rules, regulations, policies, and state statutes, and providing direction and guidance to team members, guests, and patients. The officer assists with de-escalating tense situations, proactively works to prevent crime and safety incidents, and responds to and investigates criminal activity and vehicle crashes as needed. Responsibilities also include maintaining records, completing written reports, performing physical security screening, and creating a safe healthcare environment.
