About The Position

The position involves providing uniformed, armed law enforcement protection and services under the authority of the Attorney General of North Carolina. The role requires adherence to specific performance expectations and standards set forth by the Attorney General.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) Certification.
• Must meet and maintain all pre-employment and in-service standards for commission as company police officer as set by the Attorney General.
• Valid NC driver’s license with violations not exceeding health system standards or insurance carrier regulations.
• Certification in CPI (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention) curriculum units 1-7 and 10 only within six months of employment and annual recertification.
• BCLS certification from the American Heart Association required within three months of employment date.
• One year of experience as a sworn law enforcement officer.
