About The Position
The Southeastern Louisiana University's Police Department invites applications for the position of Police Officer 3. This position is assigned to Uniform Patrol and works a 2-2-3 schedule for either 6am-6pm or 6pm-6am depending on assigned shift. Current Salary Police Officer 3: $21.27/hr SER Police Officer 3: Two years of experience in law enforcement work When applying, you should list all Education and Work Experience on this application. Requirements
- Two years of law enforcement experience.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
- Possession of a current Louisiana driver's license.
- Possession of an active Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) certification may be required at the time of application.
- An applicant who has been convicted of a felony or who is under indictment on a felony charge will be disqualified until relief from the disabilities imposed by state and federal laws is granted.
- May be required to qualify annually with a firearm.
- For some positions, applicant must be eligible for bond.
