An employee in this job class is responsible for developing, reviewing, and maintaining a wide variety of emergency management programs and coordinating different activities to prepare the whole community for disaster response and recovery. This includes making sure the community's needs are met, collaborating with public and private organizations to provide educational resources and information in the event of a disaster, and ensuring the integration of emergency plans throughout the whole community. The work is performed under the general supervision of the Director and Deputy Director of Emergency Management. Duty Hours: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with flexibility to meet Department needs. This position is subject to recall. Per the Department's Collective Bargaining Agreement, newly hired employees who do not possess corresponding experience will start at the base starting pay listed in this posting. This position will remain open until filled.
