About The Position
The purpose of the Police Cadet Internship is to provide Oakland Housing Authority residents, with a work site opportunity/experience for up to 12 months. The work site experience is designed to train residents on the job in a variety of clerical and some paraprofessional functions in the Oakland Housing Authority Police Department, as well as in various Oakland Housing Authority departments. Cadets will assume the role of a helper to staff as he/she learns on the job.
Requirements
- Age: At least 17.5 but no older than 20.5 at the time of appointment
- Graduation from high school or GED; Minimum GPA 2.0
- Enrolled in college or trade school with a student load of 12 units or equivalent.
