About The Position

The Primary Purpose of the Poles Maintenance Supervisor is to organize and delegate work assignments to ensure the poles systems are operational and functioning properly. This role involves supervising maintenance workers and requires strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Applicants are expected to know the principles, values, and behaviors of the McWane Compass.

Requirements

At least 5 years supervisory experience to include training, performance reviews, disciplining employees.
Blueprint reading.
Fosters a culture of continuous improvement and positive work relationships.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Familiarity with MDU EHS policies.
Proficiency with UltiPro.
Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to multi-task and strong attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

Preferable trade school.
Willingness to take management classes.
Willingness to learn Microsoft Office applications (if not already proficient).

Responsibilities

Supervise and mentor maintenance techs.
Address errors, problems, and solve root causes daily.
Organize, design, delegate, and complete work assignments for maintenance techs.
Coordinate with Engineering to implement new systems as well as troubleshooting current systems.
Research and order parts for various machines needed.
Estimate costs of labor and parts for industrial equipment.
Build outage maintenance schedules with work orders and staffing.
Plan work for outside contractors, field investigations, file searches to define scope of work and organize jobs in a timely manner.
Plan and arrange activities related to equipment maintenance to enhance equipment and plant accessibility.
Understand and uphold plant safety requirements and enforce them as needed.
Perform any additional responsibilities as assigned.
