About The Position

The Poker Room Dealer at MGM Springfield is responsible for dealing and managing poker games while ensuring excellent guest service. This role requires adherence to all relevant laws and company policies, and it involves maintaining a safe and enjoyable gaming environment for guests.

Requirements

• Strong problem-solving and listening skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal forms.

• Excellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints and within established deadlines, with particular attention to detail.
• Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and assist with the operation of poker games.
• Get players' checks and help maintain poker table banks.
• Ensure accuracy of table bank, table pot, and table rake.
• Communicate verbally with supervisors regarding unnatural or irregular play and disputes in the game.
• Verbalize player instructions, rules, or any other information as required in the procedures of the game.
• Develop customer relations and facilitate the use of the one club card.
• Maintain a helpful, courteous, safe, and clean environment of the game.
• Promote and maintain the highest level of service to all guests while staying alert to their needs and responding effectively to guest inquiries.
• Notify supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft.
