About The Position

The Poker Assistant Shift Manager is responsible for protecting company assets, managing personnel, and ensuring guest service needs are met in the Poker department. This role involves maintaining accurate records, monitoring service standards, and complying with various gaming regulations. The position offers a dynamic work environment where teamwork and service excellence are emphasized.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age and able to obtain and maintain a Colorado Support Gaming License.
  • 1 year of previous dealing experience preferred.
  • Previous supervisor experience a plus.
  • Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
  • Excellent guest service and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to speak and write English.
  • Strong general mathematical skills.
  • Ability to stand for the duration of the shift and perform physical tasks.

  • Experience in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Knowledge of Colorado gaming regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Protect company assets and maintain an accurate bank.
  • Manage, direct, and supervise all personnel on a shift-to-shift basis.
  • Evaluate business levels and maintain appropriate staffing while maximizing labor and minimizing payroll expense.
  • Fulfill all guest service needs including host, cashier, verification, and payment of jackpots.
  • Maintain accurate records for all daily promotions.
  • Generate player cards, comp slips, and ensure accurate player tracking.
  • Take and place food orders with necessary follow-up.
  • Monitor service standards of food and beverage personnel.
  • Maintain payroll records and protect all department keys and assets.
  • Comply with Colorado Limited Gaming Act, Colorado Gaming Rules and Regulations, and other relevant laws.
