Summit Health is hiring a full-time Point of Care Testing (POCT) Coordinator to join the team! This is a full time position: Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm. The POCT Coordinator will design, implement, evaluate, and revise continuing education programs for all departments that perform Point of Care testing (POCT). The role includes assisting the Clinical Manager of Staff Development and Education with planning, development, and implementation of orientation curriculum for new clinical service employees and clinical education programs for all employees who perform POCT. The Coordinator will serve as an instructor for orientation and educational programs, ensuring all staff maintains valid, current competencies as required by Summit Medical Group and regulatory agencies for POCT. The position also involves developing policies and procedures, proposals, curricula, and course documentation for a variety of staff with diverse education and clinical levels. The Coordinator will evaluate orientation and training programs, continuously update classes to ensure training remains current, and conduct competency reviews for phlebotomy and POCT with all new hires and then annually. Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
