About The Position

The Point of Care/Molecular Business Development Manager at QuidelOrtho is a key role focused on driving business growth in the Point of Care (POC) and Molecular Diagnostics (MDx) sectors. This position is responsible for developing new opportunities, managing customer relationships, and executing strategic plans to achieve sales goals across the Northwest territory, which includes states like California, Idaho, Oregon, Utah, and Washington.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in business development or sales within the healthcare or diagnostics industry.
  • Strong understanding of Point of Care and Molecular Diagnostics markets.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic plans and manage complex customer relationships.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with C-suite executives and technical buyers.
  • Experience with CRM systems and maintaining accurate sales forecasts.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs).
  • Familiarity with laboratory operations and technical sales.

Responsibilities

  • Convert competitive/new customer accounts by establishing personal accountability and illustrating QuidelOrtho value propositions.
  • Drive instrument placement within the assigned territory for the POC market.
  • Develop and execute strategic territory plans to prioritize, pursue, and convert competitive customer accounts.
  • Work with cross-functional sales teams to develop and implement sales strategies for key strategic and IDN-related facilities.
  • Leverage relationships with key stakeholders and manage opportunities within the buying/sales cycle.
  • Assist with transition planning for newly converted customers and contribute to smooth transitions to Account Managers.
  • Establish and maintain productive professional relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and KOLs at multiple levels within targeted customers.
  • Develop and maintain sales forecasts, accurate account and contact information, and records of activities in the CRM system.
